BC FIRST STANDS FOR:

1.

Protecting and promoting the interests of British Columbia and its citizens as the first priority.

|
|
|
2.
|
Electing local independent Members of the Legislative Assembly, thereby ending the political party monopoly of our BC Legislature.
|
|
|
|
|
3.
|
Ending the conflict of interest between the Executive Branch and Legislative Branch of Government by making them separate and accountable to each other.
|
|
|
|
|
4.
|
Electing the Lt. Governor of British Columbia to manage the Executive Branch of the BC Government.
|
|
|
|
|
5.
|
Ensuring all levels of Government are held accountable to the people with workable Initiative, Recall and Referenda.
|
|
|
|
|
6.
|
A Government that acts for the general interest, not special interests.
|
|
|
|
|
7.
|
Banning all special interest funding of political parties such as corporate and union donations.
|
|
|
|
|
8.
|
Public policy that is driven by the people in the communities that are directly effected.
|
|
|
|
|
9.
|
Being apolitical rather than partisan politically by supporting MLA independence over whipped dependence.
|
|
|
|
|
10.
|
Empowering the citizens of British Columbia to take ownership of their electoral system.
